Early in the “70s” I was attending a stake conference in the Ogden Tabernacle while a music major at Weber State College. I don’t remember for sure why but the words of “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” and “I Stand All Amazed” kept running through my mind. They might have been sung at that meeting. I became more and more aware how the text of these two hymns complement each other. It wasn’t long before I started to create an arrangement in my mind combining the music to maximize the power of the text. Obviously, I did not have the advantage of computer programs for arranging, printing and publishing so it took many years of revisions and refinements to arrive at what is now. I have shared this with ward choirs in various places I have lived. It has been well received by both those who sing it and experience it as a listener.
