During sacrament meeting, I felt inspired to write a song for the children in primary. I was directed to my favorite scripture in Ether 3:14 where I gained my testimony of my Savior. I wanted to help them to better understand the importance of the covenants we make. There are many layers of covenants to this song from the promise Jesus Christ made to be our Savior, to how we accepted him in that role in the Premortal Life, to how they bring light into our lives. Covenants bind us to him in a relationship that helps us to return to our heavenly home. There is an optional cello part that can be played with the piano. If omitting the cello, players can skip the cello line in the second verse and go straight to the ending line at measure 31.
