I wrote this arrangement in an attempt to convey the sense of urgency I find in the text, which come from Luke 24:13-22. The two disciples walk with the Risen Lord and long that He stay with them since the night is coming on. The setting of the text in a minor key and the running sixteenths are meant to portray this longing.
