A member of my ward plays violin. I asked her what her favorite hymn was. She responded, Abide with me; Tis Eventide. So I created this arrangement for her. While out of town I heard our ward choir singing, along with a violin, over a Zoom feed. I thought it was her. It wasn’t. Another sister in our ward also plays violin. So, I went back and added a 2nd violin part to the piece so they could both perform together. I altered the cadences at the end of some of the verses. I also tried to create the piano part so it isn’t so difficult for the pianist.
