There’s an exuberant, dance-like quality to many of our greatest celebratory anthems, from the old Christmas favorite “Joy to the World” to Stephan Schwartz’s rousing “Through Heaven’s Eyes.” I love the idea of one’s heart being so full that even bursting out in song isn’t enough: the whole body moves to the praise of God. This is an attempt to capture some of that joy.
